7 Feb 2020 (AFR) – Businesses struggling to pay creditors jump 29pc

‘The number of businesses defaulting on payments jumped 29 per cent in 2019, pointing to an increase in insolvencies in the year ahead. Drawing on data from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and Australian Financial Security Authority as well as courts and debt collectors, CreditorWatch’s latest review shows startling payment defaults across most sectors.’
