6 Aug 2019 (AFR) – Trade war, RBA send yields to record

‘Slowing economic growth, trade war concerns and a global central bank rate cut cycle have pushed Australian bond yields to record lows with no sign of easing in sight. On Monday, the Australian 10-year bond yield was sitting at 1.085 although it is likely to fall further after the Chinese yuan fell below the critical 7-per-US dollar level, causing a widespread panic across markets.’
