1 Aug 2019 (AFR) – Credit growth shrinks for first time in two years

‘Lending to business contracted for the first time in more than two years in June, Reserve Bank data shows, capping off a period of stalled growth. But economists remained optimistic the figure would turn around and blamed the 0.1 per cent decline on the fallout from the May federal election and an uncertain global economic outlook.’
