‘A drop in home loans taken out across the country has prompted more warnings of further falls in house prices, with increasing interest from first-time buyers unable to offset dwindling numbers of investors. Figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics released on Thursday showed the value of housing-related lending dropped by 2.5 per cent in November. The value of loans to investors alone dropped by 4.5 per cent.’
