12 July 2018 (AFR) – Brisbane, Melbourne rents flat despite oversupply concerns

‘Rents in Brisbane and Melbourne have not fallen despite fears of an oversupply of new dwellings, an indication that surplus stock is slowly being absorbed by rising rental demand, new data shows. Domain’s latest Rental Report has Melbourne house and unit rental prices holding steady over the June quarter, while Brisbane rents remained flat.’
