4 Jan 2018 (AFR) – Capital expenditure boom coming as world’s factories struggle to keep up

‘The world’s factories are struggling – but in a very different way to much of the last decade. The latest global manufacturing indices published overnight on Tuesday show the sector is straining to keep up with demand as economic growth picks up, from the United States and China to Germany, France and Canada. The euro-zone purchasing manufacturers index showed new orders and output were the best in 17 years as exports improved.
