9 June 2017 (AFR) – Bell Potter’s Richard Coppleson tips Blackmores, Domino’s while the bears are out

‘It’s that time of the year again when all the bears come out to play. Hot on the heels of May, which is usually a bad month for shares, the history books show that June isn’t much better. Blame it on the confession season, tax loss selling in the lead up to the end of financial year or global fund managers heading to be beach, but depending on who you talk to, this time of the year is either the beginning of a lean trot for shares or the best time to pick up a bargain. Since 1979 the average performance of the All Ords in the last month of the financial year is down 0.73 per cent, while over those 38 years the sharemarket has fallen 26 times in June, according to Bell Potter’s Richard Coppleson.’
