2 June 2017 (AFR) – May factory data point to big China slowdown

‘China’s efforts to reduce high debt levels across the economy have begun to affect growth, with a key gauge of manufacturing activity falling for the first time in almost a year during May. The Caixin General Manufacturing PMI, released on Thursday, dropped by 0.7 points to 49.6 points marking its first contraction in 11 months.’
