1 June 2017 (TheAge) – ASX’s unloved banks find some support at end of tough month – worst since January 2016

‘Shares finished in the black on Wednesday, but despite a bout of buying in the big four banks and consumer staples the ASX still suffered its worst monthly performance since January last year. Widespread discussion that the property market is set for a breather saw investors pull their money out of real estate stocks, with the sector finishing down 1.1 per cent.’
