16 May 2017 (AFR) – Housing finance: March investor lending rises to highest level in over a year

‘Investors shrugged off rising credit constraints in March, as property loans ended more than a year’s worth of falls and rose to their highest level in over 12 months. Australian Bureau of Statistics figures on Monday showed that over the year to March the value of property loan commitments to investors rose to a seasonally adjusted $149 billion, the highest level since January last year when they were $150.1 billion.’
