2 May 2017 (AFR) – Sydney heading for biggest office construction boom since 1980s

‘Sydney’s office construction cycle will kick into top gear in two years’ time, delivering the city’s biggest commercial building boom since the 1980s, according to forecasters BIS Oxford Economics. Buoyed by record low vacancy rates and rising rents, BIS expects more than 2 million square metres of new office space to be built across metropolitan Sydney between 2019 and 2023, with most of this construction occurring in the CBD, Macquarie Park and Parramatta.’
