7 Apr 2017 (AFR) – Has this new breed of bull run its course?

‘It’s a bull market for sure, but it’s not like the old ones we used to know. There’s no hubris, excess or wild parties, corporate balance sheets are in good shape, valuations aren’t exactly stretched, and no one is doing anything really silly.’ <snipped…>

‘Yet because the good times in shares have been going on for so long now, since March 2009, surely it has to end some time soon? It’s making some fund managers nervous about how and when it will all end, while others think the constant state of worrying about what might bring it crashing down is a good thing. It keeps everyone on their toes.’
