1 Feb 2017 (AFR) – Business conditions rebound to near pre-GFC levels in December, says NAB

‘Business conditions rebounded last month towards levels last recorded ahead of the 2008 global financial crisis, creating renewed hope that a company investment strike outside of the slowing resources sector will come to an end this year. National Australia Bank’s monthly gauge showed the factors favouring businesses surged to 11 points in December from 6 points in November, which is well above the long-term average. A separate measure of confidence held at around the levels recorded for most of 2016.’
