14 Jan 2017 (AFR) – Trump trade over? Not yet, say fund managers

‘Shares continued to sour on Friday after President-elect Trump failed to provide any clarity on future fiscal policies, but leading fund managers insist the “Trump trade” is unlikely to have unravelled, saying the underlying strength of the US economy should help the President-elect deliver on his promises. Markets reacted sharply to the lack of policy specifics in the President-elect’s first press conference since November, with Wall Street softening, US dollar sliding to a five-week low and the ASX200 dropping 34 points for the week.’
