10 Jan 2017 (AFR) – Housing approvals rose slightly in November, but overall trend still downwards

‘Dwelling approvals rose in November last year but the overall trend of approvals continues to point downwards as home building applications peak. The total number of dwellings approved – both private and public houses and apartments – rose 7 per cent in November, mostly driven by a rise in units, according to seasonally adjusted figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics published on Monday.
