14 Dec 2016 (TheAge) – Commonwealth Bank lifts variable rates for property investors

(14 December 2016, The Age, BusinessDay, p21, Georgia Wilkins)

‘The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has become the latest bank to raise interest rates for property investors, blaming higher funding costs and regulatory requirements.  The lender increased its standard variable investor home loan rate by 7 basis points to 5.56 per cent.  It comes amid a series of pre-Christmas rate hikes for investors by the major banks, all announced over recent days.’
