11 Oct 2016 (AFR) – Commercial property risks rising but manageable for banks: Moody’s

‘Rising vacancy rates and an apartment supply glut are posing a risk to Australia’s major banks but are one they can manage, says credit rating agency Moody’s Investor Services. In a report published to clients, the rating agency said the commercial property sector was experiencing “pockets of distress” as economic growth slowed and the mining boom faded, hurting commodity dependent cities.’
