‘The problem is that no one knows whether central banks will be able to withdraw their massive stimulus without triggering a massive sell-off in global equity markets – which are now trading near historic highs. Some hedge funds are betting that they can’t. Crispin Odey, a high-profile London-based hedge fund manager, has positioned his investment portfolio in the hope of handsomely gaining from the bursting of the central bank-inspired bubble in asset prices.’
