3 Oct 2016 (AFR) – Sydney house price growth slows in September

‘Sydney’s auction clearance rate rose to 84 per cent over the subdued grand final weekend but September house price figures to be released on Monday will show price growth in Sydney almost halved in the first month of spring, in what could be the first sign of some heat coming out of the market. CoreLogic’s Daily Home Value Index to September 30 showed Sydney dwelling values rose 0.8 per cent over September – the weakest result since February when monthly growth fell to 0.5 per cent – and well down on the circa 1.4 per cent growth recorded in July and August. ‘
