13 Sept 2016 (AFR) – Hanjin begins to clear port backlog after court ruling

‘Beleaguered South Korean container line Hanjin Shipping said on Monday more vessels were in line to unload cargo at Long Beach port in California after a US court on Friday granted bankruptcy protection. Three more Hanjin ships are waiting at the port to clear their freight once Hanjin Greece, which is currently offloading, clears early on Tuesday (AEST), Hanjin said. Port workers began taking Hanjin Greece’s cargo ashore early on Monday (AEST), and the Hanjin Gdynia will follow, Noel Hacegaba, chief commercial officer of the Port of Long Beach, said.’
