27 Feb 2015 (AFR) – Australian dollar dives as weak capex fuels RBA rate-cut bets

‘The Australian dollar dropped by almost half a cent, as investors shortened the odds of a March rate cut after the release of weak capital expenditure data on Thursday. The local currency dropped by half a cent to the day’s low of US78.37, before recovering to US78.53 in late afternoon trade.’
