‘Business confidence has jumped by the most in more than a decade after a surge in positive news from the world’s biggest economies.’ <snipped..>>

‘The rebound in confidence was based on a survey by National Australia Bank from January 9-15, after the US fiscal cliff decision and amid signs of stability in Europe, a recovery in China, and moves in Japan to spur economic growth. NAB’s confidence index jumped 12 points to plus 3 – the sharpest rise since sentiment rebounded in October, 2001, after the September 11 attacks in the US.’
